Terms of use
By using Burn After Link, you agree to use the service lawfully and accept the practical limits of one-time secret links.
The service
Burn After Link provides a free, no-account tool for encrypting short text in a browser and temporarily storing the resulting ciphertext for retrieval through a generated link. Availability, expiration, and successful delivery are not guaranteed.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for the text you submit, the people with whom you share a link, and any consequences of that sharing. Do not use the service to distribute illegal, abusive, infringing, or harmful material, malware, unsolicited messages, or content that violates another person’s rights.
Security limitations
Encryption reduces what the application server can learn, but no online service can promise absolute security. A complete link acts like a bearer credential: anyone who has it may reveal the secret. Recipients can retain plaintext, and third-party delivery channels may log or scan links.
No recovery or warranty
The service intentionally has no recovery feature for expired or deleted ciphertext. Use it as provided, without warranties of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or successful delivery. Keep an appropriate copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Changes and access
Magill Digital, LLC may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue the service and may block abusive use. These terms may be updated when the product or its legal obligations change.
